Halle's Brithday!

Halle is 4 years old!!! I can't believe it. She's just growing up so fast. She is the most beautiful, smart, outgoing little 4 year old ever. I'm going to brag for a minute so I hope all of you enjoy :) Halle had her 4 year old Dr Appointment last Friday. Everything they did this time was different then past times. They had her do an eye exam and she knew every letter & shape they pointed to. The doctor asked her to say her alphabet and instead she sang it. She got every letter. He asked her to count to 10 and she did it like it was nothing. Then he asked her to draw a picture of her and her little sister and write her name. She did so good! Her doctor even said he was impressed with her. Wes & I are so proud of her. She loves to learn. She's been in preschool this last year. I can't believe how much she has come out of her shell in such a short time. Mrs. Lisa is so good with her and she loves to go. She's done so well at meeting new friends at preschool and at church. She is the best big sister ever to Hayden. I could go on and on about my sweet little girl. We love her so much.

Here are a few pictures from her birthday. She was pretty spoiled :) I have to explain about the tool box. Lately she wants to fix everything. She takes Wes' screwdrivers and finds anything with a screw and "fixes" it. She did this at her Grandma & Grandpa's a little bit ago and they got the idea to get her her own tool box for her birthday. It's so funny! She uses it all the time, especially with Daddy in the garage.

Halle's party was on Sunday the 1st. So on her acutal birthday the 3rd, Wes & I took her to Boondocks. She loves this place! She would play in the kids area for hours if we'd let her. The first thing she wanted to do was ride the cars with Dad. After that we had some pizza, then she and dad played the video games. It was a super fun outing with the family. Hayden was so good while we were there.

Hayden's Blessing

Hayden is 2 months old already! I can't believe how fast time is going. We had her blessed yesterday in our ward. Our sweet Hayden looked so precious. Wes gave her the most beautiful & special blessing. I'm so thankful for him. He is an amazing husband and daddy and I love him so much. I'm also very thankful for the many family members and friends who came to support us. We wouldn't be the people we are with out them.

I thought about bearing my testimony and what I would say, but my nerves got the best of me. I just want everyone to know that I do have a testimony. I know that my family is forever and I am so grateful for that knowledge. I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. I know that the Lord hears and answers my prayers. I'm also thankful for my mom and mother-in-law. Both are wonderful examples of what a mother and wife should be. Thanks for everything you do for me and my family. I love you both so much.

I also want to say thanks to everyone who brought food over after the meeting. I still can't believe how many people were there to share this special day with us. Thank you.

She's finally here!!! Little baby girl was born on Sunday December 28th at 2:58 pm. She weighed 8 lbs 11 oz and 20.5 inches long. She is just beautiful! Here are some pictures :)

We are still not sure on the name. We are thinking either Hayden or Taylor. The nurse took her last night to check her. When she brought her back she said she weighs 8 lbs 2 oz so she's lost a little, but they said it's just water weight. We are so happy she's here and healthy.

Letter To Santa

This weekend we waiting in line at the mall to see Santa Claus. Halle had written a letter to Santa and we kept telling her that we would get it to him, but of course we waited until the last minute. We ended up waiting for 2 hours! But... I think it was worth it. She spent a lot of time on her letter and the Santa at South Town Mall was so great with her. She handed him her letter and he asked what it said. She was shy as usual so he said he better open so he didn't miss anything. He sat with her for a few minutes and read her letter with her it was the cutest thing! She loved it! Here are a few pics from the mall.

Gingerbread House

I know it's been forever since I've blogged, but I'm going to try really hard to get back into it. I started a new job 2 months ago and by the time I get home the last thing I want to do is be on the computer. Anyway, I'm going to try :)

Tonight Halle & I did a Gingerbread House from Costco. I was so impressed with how good she did. She was so patient and had a lot of fun with it.

On Saturday an old friend of mine Jessie O'Neal (used to be Tuttle) took pictures of Halle in Orem. It has been years since we've seen each other and it was fun to catch up. I was so worried she didn't get any good pictures because Halle was kind of being a stinker. Jessie gave me a cd with all the pictures yesterday and I just fell in love with every picture! So You Think You Can Dance

My friend Kelli & I went to the So You Think You Can Dance Tour last night at the E Center. It was so much fun! We were faithful watchers of the show all last season, and we are basically on a first name basis with everyone, lol :) Here is a little slide show of the pics I took. I was so impressed! The show was better than I thought it would be. It was sold out and all the Utah contestants gots some good love from the crowd.

So... I've been buying Halle new school clothes the last few weeks and this is one of her outfits. She wore it to church yesterday and loved it! She thought she was the cutest thing there (which she was). She was being so silly I had to take some pictures.

A few months ago when we were in California we went to the beach. They had some street sale going on and there was a group of guys break dancing. Halle could not get enough of it and since then she thinks that how she should dance. Here she is showing one of her moves :)

So... my longtime girlfriend Amanda just started her own business making bows, hair clips, headbands, you name it she can make it. She has a blog that you can get to from mine. She is super creative and seriously makes the cutest stuff. If you have any little girls you must look at her stuff! If you don't see what you want just ask her because I'm not joking when I say she can make anything! I just bought a bunch of new clothes for Halle and I'm going to have her make bows and clips to match her outfits.

Saturday Wes & I went to Jordan Valley Hospital and had our friend Kelli do an ultrasound on the baby. Everything looks so good and she's just perfect. Kelli did a regular ultrasound and a 3-D ultrasound. It's kind of crazy to be able to see so much of her, but also very cool. She was a little stubborn and wouldn't move her hands away from her face, but Kelli was wonderful and worked around her :) I am 23 1/2 weeks along. Here are a few pics.

Halle started pre-school on Wednesday. She is going to a woman in my mom's ward in Orem. What is funny is that her teacher's husband was my 3rd grade teacher in elementary! We are just so proud of her. She is a shy little thing and we've had a rough go at the nursery thing up until about 2 months ago. She finally decided that it was okay to have fun and let mommy and daddy go to their classes. I think it has helped her come out of her shell a lot and now she is handling pre-school so well! She is going on Wednesday's & Friday's for 2 hours and so far loves it!

I know it has been forever since I blogged, I've just been super lazy. So here are a few things we've been doing the last few weeks.

Over Labor Day we went to the Sand Dunes with Scott & Kelli. The weather wasn't fabulous, but we still had a great time.

A couple weeks ago we went with Russ & Kimi to Cherry Hill. We camped and played in the water, and of course watched the Olympics.

It's so nice to have it within walking distance. Overall we've had a great summer and its sad to see it end. The good part is that I only have 4 more months until I have our sweet baby girl!

THE FLOOD OF 2007

This is going to be a long one :)

One year ago we were at Grey's River in Wyoming camping with my family. We were about 5 1/2 hours away from home with no phone reception. It was a great trip, the weather was wonderful & we just had a ton of fun. It was Saturday and we decided to pack up and head home. As soon as we got reception my phone started beeping like crazy. I had a ton of texts and a ton of voice mails. After reading and listening to all of them we found out that there was a terrible rain storm at home on Friday and our basement had flooded. The Jorgenson's (our next door neighbors who always look out for us) had looked over the fence and notice that our backyard was flooded and it was going into our window well. They told us at one point there was at least 5feet of water in our basement, the water ended up settling at around 12 inches. Tammy Jorgenson started calling anyone she could to try and track us down. She got a hold of my office who gave her the phone number to my in-laws. Tami & Wes called everyone else in the family and everyone was over to our place in no time ready to help. The Jorgenson's waded through the yucky water and were able to save some of my pictures and other important things to me before it got too bad.

Kennecott is building "Daybreak" right behind our house. They had been excavating the area to get ready for a new subdivision. There was no draining system set up yet, so when it started raining, the water had no where to go. I guess our house is the lowest elevation on my street so all the water went into our backyard. We were the only ones on the street that flooded. Kennecott took full responsibility for the damage and hired a disaster clean up crew to get it taken care of. By the time we got home on Saturday everything was out of the basement and they had huge fans drying the cement. All of my pictures where laid out in our spare bedroom drying, and all of our stuff was out on the grass drying. Most of the pictures didn't make it, and we threw away a lot of other stuff. I had just bought a brand new treadmill (not cheap) and had only used it a few times. They tried to clean it up, but it didn't make it :(

All of my in-laws were there helping clean up everything, including my messy house. When we got home on Saturday my house was spotless and the basement was clean. We just had to go through and decide what to throw away and what to keep. I am so grateful for our family. The whole drive home I was thinking how horrible it was going to be, and then to get there and they had done everything for us. We are so lucky to have family & friends that would drop what they were doing to help us. We love and appreciate all of you!

Hyrum Cousin's Party

This last weekend we went to Hyrum again. This time for my mother-in-law's family "Cousins Party." Her mom, Grandma Sherrill, was born and raised in Hyrum. It is such a beautiful place. We went up on Saturday morning and spent half the day playing at Hyrum Dam on Russ & Kimi's wave runners. For some reason I didn't get one picture while we were there, but we had a blast. Then we headed up the canyon to meet up with everyone else. There were a lot of people there, and a lot of kids. Halle absolutely loved it! She cried when we had to leave. They had so many fun activities for the kids to do. Halle painted some rocks she found, made a bead necklace and decorated a cute little visor to wear. The funnest part for her was the Pinata. First of all,it was a giraffe, her favorite animal and second she was first to hit with the bat. She loved it! I almost forgot, Wes, Russ & Kimi took tubes down the river. My father-in-law dropped them off a little ways up the river and we all waited for them to come floating down. Again, I don't have any pictures of that either. What was wrong with me this weekend! This is our family trip to Soapstone. We normally do this camping trip in Wyoming at Grey's River. With gas prices as high as they are we decided to camp somewhere a little closer to home. It was so beautiful, and had lots of trails for Wes to take the ranger on. On Saturday Wes, my brother Jim and Halle went on a ride. The sun had just gone down so it was starting to get dark. I was surprised to see them back so quick until they told me they saw a bear! You have to hear Halle say it, it's is so funny. She holds her arms out as far as they go and says "He was this big and he said ROAR!" The bear didn't really roar, but Halle loves saying it did. Overall, it was a great trip!

Flash Back Friday!

Today I wanted to show every one pictures from my most favorite vacation with Wes. Wes' family does a "Family & Friends Cruise" every 2 years. I was pregnant with Halle when they were planning a cruise to Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Cozumel. We weren't sure if we would have the money to do it after having the baby, but we wanted to go so bad. We had Halle in March and the cruise was in August. We finally decided to just do it, we needed a vacation. I worked my tail off trying to loose my pregnancy weight so that I would enjoy myself. All that work definitely paid off :) This was the most fun that Wes & I have had together ever. Halle was almost 5 months old and of course we loved her to death, but having a baby is a ton of work! Being together without Halle made it seem like we childless again. I love Halle more than anything, but leaving her with my mom was the best decision ever! It was like when we first fell in love. I can't really describe it, but it was just the best time we've had together.

Our cruise boat left from the New Orleans port. We got there a couple days early to explore New Orleans. I'm so mad that I didn't take more pictures there. The week after we got home from our cruise Hurricane Katrina hit and took out most of New Orleans. I'm so glad that we got to see it when we did.

Wes & I had our friend Kelli do an ultrasound today and we found out that it's a cute little girl cookin in my belly. She is super active and looks just perfect! We were able to get a quick video ultrasound of her having the hiccups :) It was so fun to just watch her move around. Kelli checked her out and everything looks awesome. We couldn't be happier right now!

HYRUM DAM

Last weekend we went with Wes' family to Hyrum Dam. It's something we do every year. They have a great camp ground that is right on the lake. We brought our trailer, Wes' parents brought their boat, & Russ & Kimi brought wave runners. We played all weekend! Here are some cute pictures.

Halle & Lexi saw some boys fishing down and the lake and they wanted to fish too. Wes usually has his fishing pole in the trailer, but for some reason he had taken it out. So, instead he grabbed one of our marshmallow roasting sticks and took the girls down to the dock. They pretended to fish and the girls loved it! Isn't my hubby the cutest daddy!

Yesterday I got a phone call from Wes at about 1:30pm telling me there was someone there that wanted to talk to me. Halle comes on the line and says "Hi mommy, I'm just working with my daddy today" She said it so perfectly and matter-of-factly that I couldn't believe it was her. Normally Wes picks up Halle after he's off work, but yesterday he was working at the University Mall (close to my mom's house) and didn't want to have to make the drive back down in a couple hours. So... he and Tyson (a boy that works with him) picked her up early and let her work with them for the last little bit of the day. I really think it made her whole day. That's all she talked about last night when I got home. I told Wes to take a picture with his cell phone so I could post it on my blog. He laughed at me! I have to kind of laugh at myself too because since I started blogging, thats all I really think about! I take pictures all the time because I want to post them. I know, I'm a crazy person!!

I just want to say that Wes & Halle have the sweetest relationship. I am so grateful for Wes. He is a wonderful Daddy. He cares so much about Halle it's unreal. He wants to do everything with her, and she loves doing everything with him. She is such a "daddy's girl" and I love it!

4th of July

I'm a couple days late, but the pictures are worth the wait! The morning of the 4th we went to the West Jordan parade. We've done it every year since Halle was born. It's a much smaller parade than the one in Provo, but the kids love it! They throw out candy through the whole thing, and Halle loves the horses. After that we went to my sister-in-law Kimi's parents house for a bbq. It was super fun. While we were there Kimi's sister-in-law Lindsay took some professional pictures of the family. When I get those I'll post.

Later that night Halle and I went to my mom's house in Provo. We went to Outback Steakhouse (yummy) for dinner. We went with my Mom, my sister Tracey, and Amanda and her little girl Makayla (Halle plays with her almost every day, they are best friends). After that we headed out to Stadium of Fire. Halle has been talking about seeing Hannah Montana for weeks now and she is still talking about it today! The whole production was awesome! Halle loved the sky divers, but she was a little unsure about the fire works, but she got through it. We had a great 4th!

I have worked full time forever! For all of Halle's life. At first I had the hardest time going back to work after I had her, but it got easier. I still wish that I could be home with her, but I know that she is with someone that loves her as much as I do. My wonderful mom watches Halle every day. I drop her off in the morning aroun 7:30 and Wes picks her up around 4. I am so grateful that I have my mom. I don't know what I would do without her. I love you mom!

Now to the real reason for this blog :) My mom just called me and told something that Halle said and I just wanted to share it. She has been playing out in the water all morning with her friend Makayla. My mom brought her in to get her changed and feed her some lunch. Halle is in the sun every day and her skin just milks it up. She has beautiful skin that tans very easily. So, my mom took off her swiming suit and was getting ready to put on her clothes. My mom looks at her and says to her "Girl, you are so tan!" and Halle says back to her "Why you guys lookin at my bum for?" She is too dang cute! She honestly looks like the baby from the Coppertone Sunscreen bottle!

So... now that I am blogging, I really wish that I could do it all day and update our whole life, but instead I got this idea from my sister-in-law Kimi to do "Flash Back Friday". Every Friday I want to add things that have already happened. Today I am focusing on our Christmas 2007. I have way too cute of pictures to not post them! These are all from December :) We had a family party and decided to take family pictures. I think they turned out pretty cute. Then I have numerous pictures of Halle with different Santa Claus'. She couldn't get enough of him this year! She saw 2 other Santa's besides these ones. The one at the mall, and then we had a Ward Christmas Party and Santa came there too. We had such a great Christmas. Thanks so my family & Wes' family, we are so lucky to live so close and be able to spend time with each other. We love you!

Wes' parents took all of us to the Polar Express (Heber Creeper). Halle & Lexi had a blast. They saw Santa Claus & Mrs Claus and had cookies & hot cocoa. We sang Christmas Carols with Santa's Elfs. It was super fun! Thanks Wes & Tami!

No Accidents

We are proud of our little Halle! She's been potty trained for a long time now, but we've been cautious still at night. She's wears special night time panties (pull-ups). For the last 2 weeks now she has worn her normal big girl panties all day and night and not had one accident! That girl can hold it forever! One morning she got up and hadn't gone potty since the night before at 8 or 9 and held it until almost noon. You can imagine if she hadn't made it to the potty in time, there would have been a flood in our bathroom! We can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is so smart! The things that come out of her mouth always suprise us & make us laugh. She is so loving and wants nothing more than to please everyone around her. If she does something she's not supposed to, she is very quick to say she's sorry and I love you. She is a special girl and we love her so much!

This picture is one of my favorite pictures of her. Its taken at Greys River in Wyoming. We camp there every year with close family and friends. I think she looks so sweet and innocent, which she is :) but it shows through the picture and I just love it!

In the past few months we've had 2 weddings in my family. My younger brother Jim married his girlfriend Meagan, and my little sister Shelly married her boyfriend Tim. They were both married in the temple! I'm so proud of them. They are great examples to all of us!

Baby Bayles

Many of you know that I am pregnant again! Wes & I couldn't be more happy about it. I'm 12 weeks along and feeling kind of crapy at times, but I know it will all be worth it in the end. After my miscarriage I was hesitant to start trying again. I didn't know if I was ready. I kept thinking mabye it's just not the right time for us, but when is the right time? I feel so blessed that I have a family that loves me so much. I couldn't have gotten through this hard time without them, especially Wes, he was so patient and sensitive with me. I love him so much. So... we decided we we would hold off on "trying" but not prevent it. I guess that's the trick :) it didn't take long before we found out we were pregnant again.

Normally you don't get to see a lot of ultrasounds of you baby. That's when it helps to have friends :) My friend Kelli works at Jordan Valley Hospital and has scanned this sweet baby twice for me. This picture is from last week. She said by 16 weeks we can find out the sex, so I'll keep you posted!

So... this is my first blog! I never thought I would get into this stuff, but it's been so much fun. June 2nd Wes & I took Halle to California. We did everything and she loved it! She still talks about seeing Shamu the whale again, and all the princesses from Disneyland. I can't tell you how much fun it is to do these things when you have a child. It was so fun to watch her face and reaction to everything. Halle is the best thing in our lives and we just love her so much. I couldn't imagine my life without her. And now we have this new little baby growing inside me and I can't wait for it to be here! Halle will be the best big sister.
